In uBO 1.55.0, the "Purge all caches" button was removed because it caused people to download MBs of filter lists with no guarantee that the fix to a specific issue was present in any these lists. There is no longer a need for such crude way of updating filter lists because...

@grigs I'm convinced it's done to avoid #adblocking which most people have in their browsers. I.e. the old term "defective by design".
Luckily using extensions like #uBlock origin by #Gorhill you have built in manual element blocking features, so you can manually hide elements that annoy you on sites. Usually with the dropper tool you can remove that annoying pop-up and forget it ever existed.
