Vom Allgäu durchs Lechtal – heute bot der Segelflug wieder einmal spektakuläre Ausblicke. Vorbei an Schloss Neuschwanstein, über den Forggensee und weiter Richtung Tirol zum Plansee. Solche Momente zeigen, warum Segelfliegen für mich die schönste Art des Fliegens ist: lautlos, effizient und mit einer Perspektive, die man nie vergisst.

Bad weather beaten! Exciting sortie that was meant to be 3 minutes @ 1,500ft turning into a 25 minute 3,000ft climb followed by an "expedited" descent back to Earth to avoid the showers. So good to be back aloft again since January.

Nerd-Thema für Besitzer von Glasflügel Segelflugzeugen (Libelle, Hornet, Kestrel): Bei der Jahresnachprüfung gern genauer auf die Flügel-Beschläge schauen. Die rosten gern, was von außen unter dem Harz sehr schwer zu erkennen ist. Falls jahrelang nichts gemacht wird, schaut es so aus wie bei dieser Hornet. War teuer...
