Sunrise behind the 127 metre tall Glasgow Tower on Pacific Quay in Glasgow. Completed in 2001, it was designed to be the tallest fully rotating free-standing structure in the world. For the first decade or so, it suffered from a large number of teething problems, but for the last few years it's been fully functional, and the viewing platform at the top is open to visitors during the summer months.

The Glasgow Tower reflected in the still waters of a remnant of the Princes Dock. Completed in 1897, this dock once contained 35 acres of water space, making it the largest on the upper Clyde. It was closed in the 1970s and most of it was filled in in the 1980s, when it was used for the 1988 Glasgow Garden Festival.
