I woke up this morning wanting to make a simple API that echoes back the caller's IP address, a fun little lookup utility that folks could use for scripting or reference or whatever. I thought this would take only 3 hours to do. 6 hours later, I have a basic prototype working and published!

I made this cloak for my Halloween costume this year (and also because I have always wanted a big fancy cloak). I was inspired by an 1890s cloak at the #chicagohistorymuseum and made it based off of a pattern from 1921. I’m particularly proud because I haven’t really done much sewing in the past 15 years and this was the first time I used an actual pattern, too! I added pockets to it as well :)

My next project will be a 1930s dress; I have the materials for it and will probably start it very soon (maybe tonight)!
