Playing and winning with my Meren deck on Friday felt amazing. It’s a great feeling when a deck finally works. I won with 6 Gary triggers in 2 turns by having Twilight Diviner and Strionic Resonator on the battlefield and reanimating Gary with Meren and copying Gary‘s ETB ability.

I wanted to share a story from yesterday’s #FridayNightMagic, and how the night completely flipped for one young player.

I arrived late at my local FLGS - most of my regular table mates had already got underway with their Commander games. So I ended up sitting down with a friend called Ollie and a couple of teenagers - Zack and Clear.

I opened with a rule zero conversation - I’d brought two Eldrazi decks, a slivers deck, and dinosaurs (upgraded precon). What did they want me to play? (1/x)
