These beech trees are 200+ years old, and mark where a road must have been.
It's now stranded in the middle of the public forest, the hillside is mostly pine plantations.
There's a ruined farmhouse nearby, where it must have led.
The nice view is disappearing behind the green 🌿
We turn down the valley, finally some green appears.
(It's moister down here, close the the river)
Then one, no many little white flowers!
They are Wood Anemones, Anemonoides nemorosa
And Spring held it's breath,
Beneath the wide blue sky.
