(The branch tips are 300+ yr old beech trees that line the River Road - the few that are left.
There's something incredibly sentient and uncanny about them..)

This is an old lane I walked past hundreds of times, without realising it was there (totally overgrown).
The council cleared it a few years ago, for the cross country marathon that takes place here every year.
(I just found out we're also on the Tour de France route this year!!)
