Peter VágnerThere is a little discrepancy with the #Foobar2000 mobile v2.26 beta that it display url encoded file names when browsing webdav shares that are not indexed into its media library. I am using it like this when playing my audio books / audio drama. If you are using Foobar 2000 mobile on android for playing media from webdav remotes, perhaps you can support my wish so this will be looked into at some point.

I have two separate libraries, one for stereo, one for multi-channel in /media/music and /media/surround, respectively. Those folders are monitored.
Now if an album exists both as 2.0 and 5.1, the library view shows both, so I set up filters (%path% HAS /media/music and %path HAS /media/surround), which I applied to two ReFacets in two tabs. The question is how can I get folder view in there, so I can drill down as artist/album/path/to/song.ext? Without folder view I get columns which I don't like, because I like 'em sorted as Artist, The/Album, The, not The Artist/The Album.
Any ideas?

@alexskunz Yeah, #deadbeef is almost there. It's simple, very usefull, it responds quickly to navigation and keyboard commands, can handle very large playlists, supports variety of formats, has a lot of features that look like inspired by #foobar2000. I've got it installed, I'm using it for some tasks.
Unfortunatelly it's playlist view is a custom control and there is no accessibility support for that control. So when using arrow keys to change selection I don't know which item is being selected and what's the text of that item.

@menelion @fubsepude And to add a bit of criticism there is an area where I feel I don't have enough tools. There are loads of audio players on linux but none of them is as good as #foobar2000 on windows. For working with audio, the best I can think of is #audacity and it's forks however it's not accessible enough so my limited audio / video editing come down to using tools such as losslesscut, ffmpeg and sox.

_bdkl@I've replaced #foobar2000 since I can't get it to work on #wine. So I've essentially built a working terminal system using #Zellij, cava, and cmus.
I was using #DeaDBeeF for a little bit but I am not good with Playlist Managers. I much preferred the CUI interface that's an additional component for foobar2000.
cmus is doing a good job until a *real* alternative to foobar2000 comes out. #music #cli #linux
