Logged the requisite maneuvers with my safety pilot spouse. I should only need to fly IFR to GRB; from there my wife can get use home.

The ForeFlight digital approach charts are a delight to use, BTW. Everything is laid out better and it’s much faster to take in during flight.

Foul weather for tomorrow’s flight home means I’m flying six approaches and a hold today. KACB, KBFA, N98, and KCVX (full stop, lunch) then back to KTVC. #aviation #flyga #flyifr
Five and a hold in simulated IMC with my safety pilot/wife. IFR current until the end of May. #flyga #flyifr #aviation
Flew over to OSH to visit friends holding our spots in Camp Scholler. The smoke from the Canadian wildfires made visibility quite poor at times, and a little shower pushed through while we were out to dinner, which cleaned the air quite a bit. I flew home IFR and upwind and had a lovely time of it. Excited to see everyone again! #flyga #flyifr #OSH23
Today I flew four instrument approaches and a hold, in actual IMC. Some with the autopilot, some without, and a nice mix of GPS, ILS, and VOR approaches. Stayed ahead of the airplane. Feeling good. #flyga #flyifr #aviation
Booked the Archer for some #ifr work tomorrow. My currency was getting old. #flyga #flyifr #aviation
@Av8rdan VNAV with an Aspen is a delight. G5 ditto. #flyifr #forreal
Go or no go: Appalachian IFR : Air Facts Journal

Today's trip, from Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Greensboro, North Carolina, is perfect for general aviation. Instead of a six hour drive along the winding roads of the Appalachian Mountains, you can fly your Mooney there in less than 90 minutes. That's assuming the weather cooperates, of course, and a quick look at ForeFlight suggests there might be some work involved. Your airplane is well-equipped and you are instrument current, but is that enough today? Read the weather briefing below and decide what you would do.

The Mooney had been cleared for the GPS approach to Runway 14 at KGAI. Weather conditions were poor with a 200-foot overcast and 1.25 miles visibility in mist.
