No #FlightDeckMonday for me because I got a nice reminder of why we train for contingencies. Last Saturday I was due for a flight, and during take-off run I didn't have enough power (around 200RPM missing). So I did an interrupted take-off, went back to the holding point an did another engine test, this time at full power.
Still missing 200RPM, I went back to the parking and put the aircraft in maintenance.

That's why we train, and I was pleasantly surprised to see how I did react.

Got to fly a Cessna 172B for the first time tonight. That 6 cylinder engine is nice. Will have to get use to the manual flaps and shotgun layout of instruments.
