Judge quashes $421K invoice that blocked First Nation councillor from re-election
Coun. Samantha Whalen says she was given a $421,000 invoice from the rest of the First Nation’s leadership in January to stop her from running for a third council term. The First Nation’s election regulations prevent candidates from owing money to the First Nation or any band-owned entities.
