It's now damp & safe enough for us to enjoy some comforting outdoor fires again.

So wie das Holz, das hier vom Feuer quasi zerlegt wird.
Aufgenommen im Dezember 2022 auf der Esslinger Burg. Nach einem Fackellauf vom (Mittelalter-)Weihnachtsmarkt hoch zur Burg gabs oben ein riesiges Lagerfeuer mit mittelalterlicher Live-Musik und dort standen auch diese brennenden Hölzer.

Not sure what it is about a campfire, but I find it incredibly soothing and mesmerizing. I love just staring into a campfire as it shifts & changes, but also love trying to capture that feeling in photos. There's something about a slow shutter speed and soft focus that I think really helps convey the warmth. Important to remember to keep your camp fires under control, though, especially these days.
