How can I figure out what's wrong with my fingerprint reader on Android, specifically fairphone 6.

I would like to avoid factory resetting my system to avoid having to set up all my (payment and messaging) apps again.

Fairphone has no good documentation for debugging this, so I built my own debugging app. This indicates the hardware is fine but software is not.

@ComputerBase "Meine" Browser addons helfen, daß websites maximal eingeschränkt sind. Betriebssystemseitig sind es DNS Sperrlisten. Man spart viel Zeit 😉 #cookies & #coockiebanner werden gen 0 reduziert. Funktioniert eine site nicht, überlege ich kurz, ob mir Information/Service so wichtig sind, daß ich Daten preisgeben / #tracking ermöglichen will. Antwort ist zu 99%: Nein. Für die 1% habe ich eine isolierte Maschine mit anderer, geteilter IP Adresse und "anonymem" #fingeprint. #vpn #privacy
