Another reason to hate #Apple We're seeing more 2018+ MacBook Pro/Air donations — but Apple's T2 chip means even after iCloud sign-out and reset, the firmware stays locked to the original account.
Without donor contact, these machines are useless. :(
I've upcycled ~1,000 older Macs, but T2 era machines will end that. It's controlling, creates e-waste, and will only get worse. #righttorepair matters — Apple couldn't care less.

Der er alt for mange ledere, der ikke forstår hvad deres fag (ledelse) går ud på. Ikke nødvendigvis fordi de selv har gjort noget forkert, men fordi vi har en tendens til at ansætte ledere fordi de repræsenterer en bestemt retning man (ofte bestyrelsen) tror er rigtig, i stedet for at ansætte de ledere som formår kollektivt at afstemme en retning, og tage ansvar at vi i fællesskab går den vej.
Det er et kompleks problem at sætte en retning og komplekse problemer kræver kollektive løsninger.

Note the precise use of deleted messages here. When you uninstall the Signal app, that doesn't flag it's messages as "deleted" so that Apple can remove them from the notifications database. (If Apple would ever comply with Signal's demands. iOS (and macOS) don't have such a feature)
I don't think that this behavior maps up with users' expectations of the software. And for Signal to ship knowingly with a default setting that violates user expectations for a secure messaging app, well, I don't like it.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Signal product, and I've donated financially to it multiple times. But this ain't right.
