@Berit @tithegha @tiikerikani @sadlittlemen Well done to the winners! Nice to see the work of others.
At the least it was fun to paint something with a Zorn palette again. Here's to the next #FediPaint.
After a few days of thinking about the winners for this new session of #fedipaint , here's the top 3; but i wanted to say thank you for every one who participated in this new version !
1st - @tithegha with an archer
2nd - @tiikerikani with a darkoath
3rd - @sadlittlemen with a monster
Thank you for every who participated and see you for te next round of fedipaint !
The Cultist Firebrand is the other model I started for #fedipaint. I used the same paints as I did on the marauder that I entered, but added some metallic paints to fit in with my other cultists, as well as some fluorescent orange for the flame and the base.
I'm a bit late for #fedipaint but here's my contribution ! It's basically a ripoff from the Butt Fish from Vae Victis Miniatures. But not a recast or a hateful IAg recreation, I made it in greenstuff. Using the official model as a reference in Blender was incredibly useful, and I didn't have to conceptualising anything, ensuring I could focus on learning how to sculpt.
Limited by the #Zorn Palette (which I dearly enjoy), I searched for a suitable fish to reference, and I settled on the rainbow trout.
I'm very pleased with the result. My modelling is fine, and referencing a real animal for painting made the colors quite interesting.
It's still Friday somewhere
This is the smaller of the two figures I started with the Zorn colors for the challenge. I decided to finish this one for tonight since the other includes metallic paint to match some related units. It's really sketch style because I really haven't had the time or the patience to do otherwise.
(I'm typing one-handed because I've got a damn nosebleed again)
I actually have two miniatures under way for #fedipaint but we'll see if I actually finish either of them tonight after work. Both are very sketch style so unlikely to be of any special note anyway...
There's a couple of important other-hobby projects I need to finish by the end of the month and my mood is (see my toots about anti-developments at work) such that I'm more inclined to work on the sewing project so I can stab things
Pig wizard? Porcine shaman?
No, he's a Boarcerer.
Lovely sculpt from Dragon Bait and fun to paint for the #FediPaint challenge using just the #Zorn palette.
