My #1490Doom company is done ! I've had a game with Laurent (bottom left) last weekend, and he managed to get to the top of the tower !

Apart from him (conversion based on The Damned Heavy Infantry by Wargames Atlantic), all the models are from #VaeVictis and printed by @coopenotte (Trashfire Studio).

It was challenging to paint them, with only three colours plus black and white, and I've tried some non-metallic metals and object-source lighting, but I'm happy with the results !

The #buttfish itself is painted ! I intended the violet to be more rose, inspired I think by the green furred gorillas of Dragon Quest IX, but my mix of Royal Blue and Mephiston Red was quite dark, and I lightened it with white. So it has turned out quite desaturated. It will fit with the snowy base I've planned though !

I'm a bit late for #fedipaint but here's my contribution ! It's basically a ripoff from the Butt Fish from Vae Victis Miniatures. But not a recast or a hateful IAg recreation, I made it in greenstuff. Using the official model as a reference in Blender was incredibly useful, and I didn't have to conceptualising anything, ensuring I could focus on learning how to sculpt.

Limited by the #Zorn Palette (which I dearly enjoy), I searched for a suitable fish to reference, and I settled on the rainbow trout.

I'm very pleased with the result. My modelling is fine, and referencing a real animal for painting made the colors quite interesting.

Here's my fourth conccurent painting project : a #1490Doom warband using #VaeVictis miniatures.

I'm going with a somewhat limited colour palette : black, white, Dark Rust (?), Dirty Grey, Yellow, Royal Blue and Terracotta. I'm planning on doing non-metallic metals, and having the red areas being the darkest colour, with the rest being lighter and more muted.

Souvenons nous aussi qu'avant de penser à s'approprier la Palestine, c'est l'Ouganda qu’Hertzel avait proposé pour y établir son régime politique théocratique...oui, l'Ouganda, sur proposition de l'empire britannique, là encore, pour des raisons politiques : rendre viable à peu de frais ce pays aux terres riches que la couronne garderait quand même sous son influence.
