I'm on attempt # 4 of starting the #30meterfabricchallenge. First, I promised myself no new fabric, got 11 yards in, I bought fabric. Tried again, 3 yards, bought fabric. Tried a third time, got 8 yards in, here come a sale.

Me on 12/28/2023 in my sewing room. I need to make room for all the fabric I just ordered. Let's try the 30 meter fabric challenge and mean it. Jan 1 2024, the fabric store says 1/2 shipping and 60% the entire inventory.

I ordered some cable knit.

I swear I will complete this challenge.

After getting 11.02 yards into the 30 meter challenge (33 yards), I have to restart the challenge, because I saw some fabric in my wishlist get dangerously low.

Anyway I bought six yards of this for a raincoat that I will wear most likely 5 times in the next year. I do need a raincoat though those storms are no joke

There's six yards left over at Fabricmart Fabrics if you want to scoop it up. It's in the 60% off section.

Enchanted Rose Costumes on YouTube drops her next big project, which is once again some shade of yellow. I am unsurprised, she loves yellow. Anyway she says something about a 30 meter challenge. (Basically she has to restart it to donthe project, but since it's 1890's, she'll be fine.)

Off to look up what 30 Meter Challenge is and I'm horrified, and intrigued. Basically the point of the challenge is to use 30 meters from your stash before you buy more fabric. I feel like this is for fabric hoarders.

I feel attacked. But also my fabric doesn't fit in my stash closet anymore so...πŸ€·πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ

Right, since I'm violently American and don't use meters, if I want to do this challenge, I need to use up 32.8 yards. 33 yards. This would probably help me save some money too, because honestly, I'm never going to sew through my stash, if I keep buying more.

Anyway, I think I can do it.
