A program to encourage students to read more tried to ban eight books from the event, including a book on book bans. Seriously. You can't mock these people; they're more outrageous than anything you can say.

When I was in school, teachers,, parents, librarians--grown-ups in general--were always encouraging students to read more, go to the library!
Now, students in sixth through 12th grade in the New Braunfels Independent School District in Texas are currently unable to visit their school libraries or check out books.
