I wonder if the salesman knew what sort of test drive I'd take the car on. A little bit on the A1 for a cruising speed test, then across Alnwick moor, along to the to the Todburn turning, then down the unnamed road with the turnoff for the kennels and cattery, which was covered with snow and ice, through two fords, then home to check I could get it in my drive.
Then on to the Thrunton road, very steep and icy. Next heading back across Alnwick Moor again, in snow.
The car performed very well. I had driven the route in my car, and several times it meandered and the wheels spun. In the Suzuki the yellow traction light flicker but the system sorted it before I could feel anything and the car remained rock steady on course. On the difficult section in trail mode and got 2.1 kWh per mile, and on the faster sections 2.6, but this did include a couple of 200 metre hills and going at a reasonable pace. As 0-3 C temperature I don't think this is bad.
