About the Work
The Home of My Choice takes its name from one of the only known non-sermon quotes to come to us from Alexander Twilight, speaking of his return to the Vermont town of Brownington, where he was a beloved teacher and mentor to thousands of students over the course of his lifetime.
The artwork is composed of nine photographic panels that depict the Brownington Village historic district and surrounding landscape, including the Old Stone House Museum, which was originally built as a dormitory for his students by Twilight. Hand-inscribed over and around the imagery are dates and descriptions of notable facts and events from Twilight's lifetime and after it, as well as quotes pertaining to the various interpretations of his life and legacy.

September 23, 2020 is officially recognized by the State of Vermont as Alexander Twilight Day.

Chapter Three: In Which The Past Becomes The Future, But Only In The Best Possible Way
What will Vermont look like in the future? What should it look like?
We were asked to create a work for the Bennington Museum's annual fundraiser on the theme of "Vermont Utopias," which asks the question what is your vision for the future of Vermont?
According to our answer, "Chapter Three," it requires that we swallow our cell phones whole and play checkers with cows.
"Vermont Utopias" will be on exhibit at the Bennington Museum November 27 through December 28 and all works will be part of a special closed-bid auction. Want to own an EveNSteve AND support a great cause? Here's your chance!
This version of Chapter Three is currently entered in international film festivals under Experimental Short.

Walking Makes You Think Differently
Our newest artwork video! A story inspired by a trip to Quito, Ecuador, a UNESCO World Heritage site, this 28 foot artwork brings the viewer on a walk through a city of unfamiliar sights and smells, stray dogs, earthquakes, and the Woman of the Apocalypse watching over it all.
With the New Year we have a new series of artworks underway that create shapes by combining multiple negatives, of which The Lady of the Canal is the very first. Think of it as two-dimensional sculpture.
