yahoo news | Pam Bondi Is Now Trying to Duck Out of Testifying About Epstein

Pam Bondi, the former Florida attorney general, is refusing to appear for a scheduled deposition before the House Oversight Committee on April 14. The committee, led by Rep. James Comer (R‑Ky.), issued a statement saying the Department of Justice “has stated Pam Bondi will not appear…since she is no longer Attorney General and was subpoenaed in her capacity as Attorney General.” In a letter obtained by CNN, Assistant Attorney General Patrick D. Davis asked that the subpoena be withdrawn, arguing that Bondi’s former official status no longer obligates her to testify.

Bondi’s earlier appearance before Congress in February was widely criticized; she stumbled over basic questions about the Justice Department’s mishandling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, the agency’s failure to comply with the Epstein Transparency Act, and the protection of survivors’ personal information. The fallout from that testimony, combined with President Donald Trump’s recent removal of Bondi from her post, has intensified calls from both parties for her to be held accountable for actions taken while she was attorney general.

In a joint letter, Reps. Ro Khanna (D‑Calif.) and Nancy Mace (R‑S.C.) urged the committee to reaffirm that Bondi must appear for a sworn deposition, warning that congressional oversight does not end when an official leaves office. They and other lawmakers, including Rep. Robert Garcia (D‑Calif.), said that failure to comply could result in contempt charges, emphasizing that accountability for the alleged suppression of Epstein‑related evidence remains a priority regardless of Bondi’s current employment status.

yahoo news | 'I have no recollection of anything' Epstein survivor says she was drugged and...

A woman who identified herself only as “Nicky” spoke to BBC Newsnight for the first time about being drugged and raped by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein when she was 19 and working as a model. She said her first encounter with Epstein was a massage at his Palm Beach mansion, after which he offered her a drink of water. Nicky blacked out for around 12 hours and later woke feeling sick and unable to recall any sexual activity, though she found evidence in the bathroom that something had occurred. She believes Epstein drugged her and assaulted her while she was unconscious, a suspicion reinforced when he later tried to pull up her jeans despite her repeatedly telling him she was on her period.

Nicky said the courage of other survivors encouraged her to come forward, and she is now urging the U.S. Department of Justice to release the two million remaining files from its Epstein investigation. Although Congress passed the Epstein Transparency Act mandating the release of all relevant documents, many records remain hidden, and survivors worry that the law’s name continues to glorify their abuser. Nicky called the legislation a waste of taxpayer money and suggested it be renamed to honor victims rather than the perpetrator.

The survivor stressed that constant media coverage and political exploitation of Epstein’s case hinder healing for those he harmed. She wants the unreleased files disclosed “properly, honestly, ethically” so survivors can move toward closure. Nicky concluded that without genuine transparency and respect for victims, survivors will remain “pawns for political discourse,” making recovery an even more difficult path.

Dems, you can take down the Rich and Powerful Men by taking down the minions that work for them, like Pam Bondi.
Why must you be so predictably weak and useless?
