Another week with #ender7 after I stuck a flexible bed on it replacing the glass plate. And I can only scratch my head, why Creality doesn't do that by default. It is a joy - not breaking models or fingers. #3dprinting
#3dprinting First tests with a PEI magnetic build plate on the #ender7 look quite promising.

#3dprinting #ender7 After 1 week of intense use, I can say the Ender-7 is a step back.

✔️ Sturdy frame
✔️ Large build volume
❌ Leveling is difficult
❌ Adhesion is a problem
❌ Releasing finished prints from the glass plate is difficult
❌ It works with one type of PLA only

The amount of force needed to release prints, often damaging them in the process, inevitably affects leveling. Upgrading to a flexible build plate is a must.

▶️ If you need a large build volume get a #prusa i3 MK3S+.

Printables

The #ender7 is louder than the #ender2pro The motors whine and scream. It feels really odd to listen to it.
The prints are very nice. The Creality Slicer, that is a branded ~1y old version of Cura, manages it perfectly. It speeds up the further the print goes.
Printing on glass and removing the print from it is something you need to get used to.
So far, I only used PolyTerra #pla that works perfectly. #3dprinting
