Video games providers must treat consumers fairly.

Under EU consumer law consumers must be informed about the duration and conditions of a video game’s lifespan.

If the supply is stopped earlier than the contract states, players should be reimbursed.

We will work with consumer authorities and organisations to raise awareness about these rights and their active application.

“Landmark German ruling declares Google's AI Overviews are Google's own words and makes it liable for false answers”

“A German regional court has ruled that Google is directly liable for false claims in its AI-generated search overviews.

“The court treated the AI overviews as Google's own content and rejected Google's argument that users were responsible for fact-checking the results themselves.”

Landmark German ruling declares Google's AI Overviews are Google's own words and makes it liable for false answers

A German regional court has ruled that Google is directly liable for the content of its AI search overviews. According to the court, previous limited liability protections for search engine operators don't apply to AI overviews. In this case, Google's AI had falsely linked two publishers to fraud and made claims that didn't appear in any of the linked sources. The ruling could set a precedent for AI-generated content liability worldwide.

"TLDR: In ten days last month, the Wikimedia Foundation fired the longtime lead developer of MediaWiki and disbanded the team whose entire job was to listen to volunteers. Most of the people they fired were union organizers. Wikipedia’s editors are now threatening to strike in solidarity. The Foundation is sitting on $296 million in reserves and a freshly profitable AI revenue stream. This is a confrontation with global implications"

The parking attendant paused by the double-length bay. Intended for mobile homes and cars with trailers, it was currently occupied by a sleeping dragon.

No parts of it extended beyond the lines, and the paper ticket was clearly displayed, impaled on a horn.

The parking attendant moved on.

Redmi Pad SE has been a very interesting experience. Hardly anything works.

It is like a glimpse into the future of what Microslop wants Windows to be: The OS decides which applications you can and cannot place on the desktop, or remove from it. Installing anything not sanctioned by Xiami is a nightmare.

And unlocking the device to install an useful OS, is such a bad case of data gathering that I would call it fishing.
