What a lovely end to a productive stay! @jonaspotthoff was this week's speaker in our seminar series, and gave a great talk on the efficacy of open-label vs deceptive placebos in reducing attentional biases towards certain foods. This concludes his research visit at #Bristol, where he conducted #electrogastrography and (mobile) #EyeTracking experiments.

Time for some #introductions! I’m a scientist who works on #DevelopmentalPsychology, #Cognition, and (human) #Neuroscience; using #statistics, including #machinelearning and population #simulation. My main interest is how environments shape development: the impact of socioeconomic status, and non-genetic transmission mechanisms (#CumulativeCulture / #CulturalEvolution). I also hobby around in #disgust, probing the gut-brain axis with #pharmacology, #EEG, and #EGG (#electrogastrography).
