Yesterday was SO exciting! I actually did #github stuff for the 1st time ever: learned what 'forking' was and what 'commits' are!

Using https://github.com/abuseofnotation/feed-aggregator I merged my #RSS feeds (so far I've got #Dreamwidth #Masto #Raindrop & put them into my #Neocities. The crowd in my head is going WILD right now!

I used #Perplexity to help me along. Wondering if, in an ironic twist, ppl will use #AI for #IndieWeb endeavors like this rejecting #BigTech...

Red Flower is a manga-style project on BackerKit that’s only 50% funded, and with less than a week to go. From a small publisher that lost most of their original print run to the Diamond bankruptcy, so they really need community support right now

Gonna play around with Dreamwidth for a bit with an account I created back at the dawn of time. It looks like my usual handle is in the purge bin so I could claim it with a rename token ($15) but I'm going to give it a week or two to see if it sticks first.

I wrote a blog post with my findings about searching for #RSS feeds through my now familiar online neighborhoods. It includes templates for each platform mentioned as well as a resource for extracting feeds from sites that without native support.

This evening, I sent in a report on a community I found on DW that was full of Russian nationalist posting and unabashed racism, which I found while browsing random communities.

I sent in a report. About a half hour after I send it, I see that my request has been marked private (not sure why they would do so). Community still up.

I really hope none of those Russian nationalists found their way onto Dreamwidth's support team...if my account gets suspended, remember me...
