After waking up a the Apollo Hotel in Amsterdam and having breakfast, we walked around before taking the train to Utrecht where we spent most of the day. We walked the city's unique canals, had lunch, and visited St. Martin's Cathedral before returning to Amsterdam for dinner.

After five years of work, the restoration of the 703-year-old Dom Tower in Utrecht is ending today. Pupils from a primary school in Utrecht will place the last stone back in the famous clock tower, RTL Nieuws reports.The restoration cost approximately 37 million euros and should keep the tower in good shape for the next 50 years, according to responsible alderman Dennis de Vries.
