Pres Marcos recovering from Diverticulitis, will focus on critical duties — Officials
Am working all the days this week. My goal is to keep it to a minimum - if I am efficient with my time I can get done what needs doing in 3 hours (sanitise hoses, rack beer from fermenter to brite beer tank and rinse fermenter for cleaning tomorrow).
My current sense of my abilities is I can work less than half a day every day, or 5 full days (<8 hours) in a 7 day period. If any day goes over 8 hours then drop a day as soon as possible.
I am still recovering from #Diverticulitis and this means I need to remind myself (continuously) that I am, perhaps, at 80% of what might be thought to be "normal". And most likely less than 80%.

So a week ago today I had emergency surgery due to diverticulitis in the small intestine.
While #diverticulitis is not uncommon it almost always occurs in the large intestine or colon where the body can auto-magically surround the problem area and prevent leakage/bursting. Not so in the small. If it pops, it's discharging directly into your abdomen.
Thanks to an amazing surgeon AND world class nursing care, after major unplanned abdominal surgery I literally just walked up the street to the neighbors, maybe 5-6 houses.
I'm not even taking advil.
Just mind boggling what good #quality #medicine can do. I have good employer #health #insurance, #PTO and am entirely able to cover this.
Why the #FUCK can't we get #UniversalHealthCare in the #US?
