When you look closely at how the Anglosphere conceptualizes "property" (not only land) it is "exclusivity without responsibility". That grew from the unique history of Western Europe (Roman Empire, Roman Christianity, Monarchy, etc, etc).

This is so different than the worldviews and law that grew on this continent (Not part of Europe, occupied by British North American settler-colonial governments) which most often had responsibility without exclusivity.
