2/2 Disabled people deserve to be treated with respect. This gov is being ableist.
This gov is targeting those in society who struggle and using disabled people and those on benefits to deflect from real issues: underfunding of NHS, Schools, Children’s services etc.

Hello. Posting a copy of a link is not the same as Quote Posting where a person can SEE the quoted post directly below the reply.

There are many examples of non-violent use of QP. The function is used by #BlackTwitter, #DisabledTwitter, #AntiFascists, #Journalists, #Lawyers, #Organizers, #CivilRightsActivists, and more groups.

Swarming / brigading / whatever happens all the time here WITHOUT such a function.

Honestly I'm still on twitter b/c #BlackTwitter and #IndigenousTwitter and #DisabledTwitter are still there and I don't want to lose seeing their perspectives (and more!) in my timeline.

I just don't see that flourishing here yet.

So I'm there, reading, sharing people's good work, and shit posting about Musk. With an ad blocker.

But I do bring my cool new stuff here rather than there. It's a weird dual existence.

Because Mastodon and federated communities and Post and Hive, etc. are all silos that DO NOT have the broad societal reach of Twitter.
