I was about to riot because the price of AlphaTrak 2 strips to test my diabetic cat's blood sugar have gone through the roof.

Then I noticed that it seems they've moved to AlphaTrak 3, and the new stuff seems to be priced similarly to the old stuff.

Still more spendy than it should be, but it looks like the inflated prices were just due to shrinking production / stock depletion of the old version.

BTW if anyone has a better system to recommend, I'm all ears. #cats #diabeticcats

First experience of Ringo having low blood sugar and hypoglycemia today. He was knocking things over in night and this morning walked in circles and kept squeezing between bed and dresser to push his head against wall. Got him to vet ASAP. He'd been irregular with his insulin shots this week as he was spooked of us after getting a tooth removed last week.

He's spending the day at vets.
