@scriptkiddie I was just thinking, at least for Europe, to actually protect hndividuals, they can technically block any phone or os they want through the telco.
If anyone is using a google/android device, block access to the networks― like how the ACMA did here.
Then, promote Fairphone, Librem, Pinephone (do some investing), Furiphone, Purism, Volla, Jolla, non-andriod motorola's, etc. even Apple is sitting on this list― for now.

Just discovered Ubuntu Ports has an Ubuntu Touch flash compatible with my former daily driver.
This might be worth exploring, despite not being a functional phone in my country. i.e., all phones must be compatible with VoLTE 4g (minimum requirements for phone calls). I might be able to set it up as a server.
100% degoogleifying might be possible with Ubuntu Touch in alternate mainstream phones, where Postmarket is currently lacking development.
Just did a little calculation from the apps on my daily driver and I'm only 56.58% de-google-ified (incl/🤖). Might be able to push it to 61.84%.
But without PostmarketOS work on the phone I have, or GrapheneOS (which won't work on my phone because it doesn't have hardwared hardened security― it just hardware hardened tracking and anti-privacy), I won't get to 100%. I can't wait for GrapheneOS compatible Motorola to roll out next year.

What all users of phones have to deal with... Google's anti-competition practices, lack of morals/ethics and disrespect. They only do things for
(a) the CEOs, execs and investors back pockets;
(b) Power and control;

Inside my phone there are 2 or 3 people.
1 of them is having a freak out because I disabled and/or deleted a bunch of their programs. It's is Google.
As I remove core components of Googles system, and replace them with FOSS (eg Fossify Messenger) or privacy and data secure software (eg Protonmail).
Gotta say the freak out is a little annoying. I can't block their pop up notifications occur every 20 seconds.

I am attempting to delete the contents of a Gmail account that I created and began using in 2008.
I have already downloaded the entire mail file, and imported it into Thunderbird, so I won't lose anything relevant.
However, deleting the messages from Gmail is proving to be a challenge. You can select everything and "send it to the trash" but only 100 messages get dumped in at a time, and Gmail throws this unusual error message that seems to indicate they will continue doing this work in the background, but in 24 hours of doing this, none of the work appears to be getting done in the background. The message count remains the same.
So does anyone know how to actually trick Gmail into letting me completely empty this inbox other than 100 messages at a time?
