I was looking at implementing #ActivityPub with #dasblog a while back, and I admittedly struggled and lost my enthusiasm for the project. However, I have found @mapache explanations and tutorials incredibly helpful and intuitive.

DasBlog is not static so some of this does not apply, but enough does, and for the rest I can easily overlap gaps with the rich blogging engine. I am currently on step 5, this is happening!

Hi! I have created this index for easy navigation. In Part 1, we will discuss why it is important to bring your site to the Fediverse. In Part 2, we will delve into an overview of the design of my implementation. In Part 3, we will make your blog discovereable in the fediverse. In Part 4, we will generate our notes and outbox, which contains posts ready to be shared in the Fediverse. Part 5, is an interlude to implement a subscribing to your site feature with fediverse accounts.

I invested a lot of energy in #dasblog opensource and I guess I never realized there was value in being moderately popular. Certainly being blessed enough to not worry about remuneration must be so rare.
So much was made easy for me by pure chance, to assume that was the case for others lacks compassion.
Opensource maintainers either die heroes or we live long enough to see ourselves become the villain.

Took an extended break from coding on #dasblog I think it is time to get started again.
Clemens Vasters 🇪🇺The beginning of the work year ended up being 120% coding on a huge prototype for the CNCF CloudEvents project and so I had to stash the #dasBlog work I had started. I just got back to it, rebased to @poppastring 's progress and added (really: restored from ancient times) the ability to create title-less posts that are then summarized under a virtual blog post for the day. About to test that on my blog.
