A new drawing completed using only Procreate’s new brushes! This was definitely a challenge… The new painting brushes are neat, but they’re different than what I’m used to and it took me a bit to get the hang of. I ended up using Sanderling and Sanderling_original under the Pens tab which is, unfortunately, the only lineart brush I could find that I liked, if I’m going to be honest with my feedback. Overall the new brushes are… different. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I’m just glad we’re able to have access to the old library still, which didn’t happen with the 2018 brush update. I plan to integrate the new brushes into my rotation with my favorite brushes from previous sets!

As for the drawing, I was inspired by some photos I saw on Pinterest that I traced back to a seller/costumer with the handle Olga-l9o on the Russian website livemaster.ru. I was in the mood for some good spooky Cainhurst and Vileblood vibes this Halloween season! I posted the sketch I did previously and thought it was perfect to test out the new brushes as the armor would require a lot of rendering.
