I decided to add touch support to my game so it could run on a phone or tablet. Hopefully I can finish that today so I can test it. I hope my boy's lukewarm reception to the pc game will nee a one off and he'll like it on the tablet. #GameDev #DadDev

My four year old was very disappointed about the first level of my game, because it was too difficult. I'm adding a very easy one with a clear path, few enemies and lots of health packs. Will ask him later. #GameDev #DadDev

First gif of this new game of mine. Those turrets I mentioned are kind of ready now. They need more polish in that they turn more realistically and look better, but they look at where the player is and shoot at their direction every 3 seconds. #GameDev #DadDev #Love2D

Wednesday is my #DaddyDay (mom is working and I'm not so I can play with my son), but now he's getting used to primary school joining half days there. Weird stuff, but it did give me time to make some refactoring adjustments to the job system of my game. If-else if-else-stuff is replaced by a for loop over a table (that's what arrays are called in lua) pretty happy with that as a start.

I'm not able to use my laptop for gamedev on my commute in the bus these days. That really affects my progress and that's sometimes frustrating. It's not easy to have no zero days, especially with a family. And the boss may not like seeing me work on my own project in the office... am I the only one struggling with this?

Today I finally had some dev time at home. Today I had to deal with an issue with my new monitor that let all black pixels have a greenish trail following it. I think I fixed it but damn that's annoying! #DadDev

Devving while dadding (or dadding while devving 🤔) is always a challenge when the little one 👶🏻 is poorly. On the plus side, making good progress with the #Nuxt 2 to 3 migration.
