Back to the Table
On Monday I played D&D in person for the first time in a very long time. This is partially because I’ve been playing online and partially because I’m a bit of a “forever DM”, a role I really enjoy (especially if it makes a game happen). That said it’s nice to just play one character and not have to plan and adjudicate everything!
I joined an existing game with an open seat run by a fellow neighborhood dad who has been running campaigns for a kid group, including mine, from our (now former) elementary school. He usually runs Eberron, and since I had recently picked up the digital version of Forge of the Artificer I decided to whip up a dwarf armorer character concept.
It was really fun to play; the existing party had to rescue my character and then we had a very dynamic combat in my study. We plan to return to this story hook in a few weeks. I’m really looking for forward to figuring out who Mack is.
