After 3 years pause, Bumbershoot's 50th anniversary celebration includes a great focus on visual arts in the Fisher Pavilian and Pacific Science Center Courtyard. Greg Lundgren, visual art "instigator" brought in four curators with Northwest roots, Roya Amirsoleymani, Jaleesa Johnston, Rana San and Emily Zimmerman to select 60 works displayed.

Bud TalbotThis is my great grandpa's #crosscut #saw. It is one of my most treasured possessions. He was a poor farmer in rural #Indiana, and cut crossties for the railroad to earn money. My grandpa told me stories about how they would take a wagon load of ties to town once every two or three months. The land where they lived (now mostly underwater in #LakeMonroe) was rich with hardwood #timber.
