This is my great grandpa's #crosscut #saw. It is one of my most treasured possessions. He was a poor farmer in rural #Indiana, and cut crossties for the railroad to earn money. My grandpa told me stories about how they would take a wagon load of ties to town once every two or three months. The land where they lived (now mostly underwater in #LakeMonroe) was rich with hardwood #timber.
