The time has come for them to hold them accountable for the harm they’re causing and pay up their ecological debt. #LossAndDamage . This fund is long overdue, so today it’s a day for justice to the billions of people that are victims of the climate crisis. There's hope.
It is not a perfect agreement but the creation of a new loss and damage fund is an opportunity to build trust and revamp international solidarity towards a more just word.

Kun päästettiin paikalle fossiilisten (öljy, kaasu, liuskekaasu) edustajat vielä entistäkin lukuisimmin joukoin kuin aiemmissa ilmastokokouksissa, niin fossiilisia saatiin, se on selvä.
Hyvää kuitenkin on, että saatiin *rahasto* menetysten ja tappioiden korvaamiseksi, jos rahaston avulla voidaan muuttaa asumiskelpoisiksi 🌏:nkolkkia, jotka nyt ovat kriisiytyneet.
Eikö sellainen välitulos hyödyttäisi lopulta kaikkia?

> äärioikeistolla vähemmän argumentteja ilmastopakolaisiin liittyen

Very mixed feelings about #COP27 outcome, #lossanddamage funding is definitely good but as #UN Secretary General António Guterres says it will "clearly not be enough" Very weak language with regards to #fossilfuels, allows for the possibility of liquid natural gas within renewables which as we know does NOT work. Seems to be a rollback on #Glasgow. Is 1.5 still alive? No idea, it doesn’t matter. Every action does. In summary of course it failed. I’ve said repeatedly COPs do not work, they never will.

I've said it before, if NATO can ask nations to contribute 2% of their GDP to defense, the minimum for NATO which are the bulk of the nations that have caused today's #ClimateChange, these same nations should be committing this same amount to climate change mitigation, resiliency and reparations.
