@pixelschubsi Cool!

Did you get calls working too? I’m trying out #convos with its jitsi integration which works great.

Just wanna say that if you're like me and don't LIVE on #IRC but feel like you want to stay connected and can't be arsed to keep a running VM with irssi and a bouncer going forever, and don't want to pay for irccloud, #Convos is one HELL of a nice way to go.

https://github.com/convos-chat/convos

It's written in #Perl of all things, and it's rock solid. I've been running it for years now, and I just had to restart for the first time because I put it behind a @tailscale funnel so I can access it securely from anywhere.

Took me a minute but I got Convos.chat's Docker container working with Synology Container Manager. I couldn't use the "Web Station" reverse proxy, I had to proxy manually using Login Portal > Advanced > Reverse Proxy.

Per the FAQ, you need these 5 custom headers, the last 2 of which enable WebSockets through the proxy:

* Host: $host
* X-Forwarded-For: $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for
* X-Request-Base: $scheme://$host/
* Upgrade: $http_upgrade
* Connection: $connection_upgrade

#Telegram attracts some weird #convos and #scams at times from its #users. The amount of #rightwing nutjobs posing as women to get info and photo collecting is #hilarious as you spot it a mile away due to the script they always use for #conversations and its not very creative.

Convos

Thanks, @m, for taking the time for this rather in-depth answer. 😀

Allow me a quick two-part follow-up question:

If I migrated from #Mastodon to #Calckey, could I bring my posts, too.

Could I keep the #Mastodon account despite the #migration, to archive the #convos/#threads?
