How Six Volunteers and One Very Heavy Sculpture Made The Day

Last weekend was our opening day with over 35 people – then today another 25+ showed up! From moving our 600-pound “Watermelon Man” sculpture with six determined volunteers to celebrating Jeff’s 40th birthday with homemade cake and a custom portrait of his dog, this Saturday had everything. We launched our first produce stand of the season (6+ pounds of radishes!), filled new U-pick beds, and proved once again that when community comes together, amazing things happen.
