Colloboh is Collins Oboh, an electronic artist, composer and producer who was born in Nigeria, raised in Baltimore, and now based in Los Angeles. His music covers a wide range of styles, ranging from techno inspired club action with breakbeats and jazzy fusion bits to chamber music inspired pieces and classical adaptations. The modular synthesizer is at the center of his work, but he incorporates other instruments in his recordings as well, often gravitating towards acoustic ones at that. He likes to keep his rhythmic elements up front in his production, which gives his pieces a propulsive quality. There is a dramatic flow to his work, and a sense that his listener is being taken from point a to b to c. His overall sound is warm and organic, and it is built with a strong melodic component.
