Colchicine is very interesting. It can be very good for gout though nobody is quite sure exactly how it works.

It’s also a mutagenic agent and is used in breeding plants to double the number of chromosomes!?!

Une vaste étude lancée en mars dernier par l’Institut de cardiologie de Montréal annonce une « percée majeure » dans le traitement de la COVID-19. Ses résultats montrent que la colchicine, un médicament anti-inflammatoire, est efficace pour traiter la maladie et prévenir ses complications. Il s’agit du premier médicament oral dont l’efficacité a été prouvée pour traiter des patients avant leur admission à l’hôpital.
