Today was 39°C (102°F) where I live, the first code red ever was issued because of the extreme heat.

Midnight now, it is still 29°C (82°F) which is insane. 🥵

But hey, the moon looks pretty at least.

🇳🇱 💥 Gezien de huidige hittegolf, en om in de schaduw te kunnen blijven, hebben we besloten om van de bezetting een bijeenkomst te maken bij de Giga-constructie site van Google’s datacentra in Farciennes. De bijeenkomst zal focussen op speeches, discussies, workshops en muziek. Wij zijn ervan overtuigd dat de strijd tegen datacentra, zowel hier als ergens anders, een politieke en ecologische prioriteit blijft. Morgen zal een opportuniteit zijn om een langere-termijn aanpak te lanceren.
📌Doe mee! Kom autonoom, terwijl je je anonimiteit behoudt (met een coronamasker of de T-shirt-methode, die ook ideaal is om koel te blijven).
👉Het is belangrijk dat je morgen komt, want deze hittegolf - die ons dwingt onze plannen te wijzigen - is een direct gevolg van de klimaatverandering. Voor dewelke datacentra verantwoordelijk zijn. Laten we de krachten bundelen en allianties smeden. Laten we onze beweging versterken, zodat we in de toekomst met andere actievormen terug kunnen komen!
