📢 The main objective of the Unplug Technofascism festive occupation is to build connections with other movements and struggles against technofasicsm, as well as impated peoples and workers.
Our goal is to develop a long-term strategy for the fight against technofascism and learn how best to organise together.

💥 Our basic strategy remains the same: to disrupt companies that prioritize shareholder profits over populations and living beings. However, for this action, the focus is also placed on political debates, exchanges, and mobilization through occupation. That is why we believe it is essential to build alliances with groups supporting the same struggles as us.

📢 Un des objectifs principaux de l’action Unplug Technofascism est de tisser des liens avec les différents mouvements de lutte contre le technofascisme, mais aussi avec les citoyen·nes et les travailleur·euses impacté·es.
L’idée est d’élaborer une stratégie à long terme contre le technofascisme et d’apprendre à s’organiser ensemble pour la suite.
💥Notre stratégie de base reste la même : perturber le bon fonctionnement d’infrastructures qui font passer le profit de leurs actionnaires avant les populations et l’ensemble du vivant. Mais pour cette 6e action, le focus est également mis sur les débats politiques, les échanges et la mobilisation par le biais de l'occupation. C’est pour ça qu’il nous parait essentiel de tisser des alliances avec des groupes soutenant les mêmes combats que nous.

👉 An example? #palantir a multinational company that analyses vast amounts of data. Its AI-based software is being used in deportation campaigns targeting migrants in the US. Palantir has even recently published a manifesto calling for the strengthening of US military technologies.

This morning began with an NL Alert.

Mobile phones across the country made a horrible noise and woke everyone up at 6:30.

We're too high to flood, so it was either nuclear war, or (more likely) the horrible weather that we were expecting.

It was a Code Red alarm and the weather was worse than had been predicted. No-one was supposed to venture outdoors even walking until at least 14:00 because it was so lethally slippery absolutely everywhere. It was clear even from looking through the window that anywhere that ice could settle was like a skating rink.

This afternoon after the alert was over I packed some parcels, put a bit of salt and grit on some remaining ice on our own driveway, and cycled to the post office. I shouldn't have bothered: they were shut.

Oh well. These customers will have to wait until tomorrow.
