working on #codebook HTML pages --- an app for encoding and decoding, a codebook maker page, and a page for 'unauthorized' #decryption of coded messages. for educational uses, but I suspect if used sparingly, you might get away with a few 'unbreakable' messages per codebook, if you needed to.
Imagine if the lawyer who mailed herself part 2 of Smith's report on Trumps handling of documents had encoded the text first before emailing it as cake recipes.

This week saw the first deployment of Passive Data Kit's automatic codebook generation.
The idea is to do away with the idea that humans can keep such dynamic data docs updated on their own, and instead to rely on self-documenting data structures (with some human help) to generate their own descriptions.
