3 mos after 1rst reported case in #Uruguay, disease affected a population of 23 coatis in an ecological park. Most animals became infected, likely directly or indirectly from wild birds in park, & experienced sudden death. 5 animals from colony survived, & 4 of them developed antibodies. Genomes of strains belonged to B32 gt.
