This is the Weltansicht that is Neopoetic Realism. Where Realisms typically, variously, seek to discomfort their audience, Neopoetic Realism reassures:
You have more in common with those dispossessed in the name of your possessions—in the name of your privilege—than with those more privileged than you. You're on the side of virtue, distinct from those who enjoy privileges you don't.
Like workerism, such middle-ing assimilates the terms of oppression. Demands a flattening, such that the dispossessed and the possessed are to be counted as one and the same, in contradistinction to the target of ressentiment—those we must all agree are the lone and only agents of an incommensurate collection of misfortunes.
