@workingclasshistory Around 81 I was at school - I went to Bald Hind pub in #Chigwell to meet a band -answered an ad in Melody Maker. Band didn’t turn up, but at the next table were some young people that asked me to join them- they were well spoken & seemed a good laugh. After some chat about music they asked if I wanted to go to London with them at the weekend. Then they told me they were part of British Movement & going on a march that would be fun- I went to loo & scarpered!

Yesterday was the 56th anniversary of the tragic 1967 bushfires in Southern lutruwita/Tasmania. Here's a picture of the area I live in the day of the fires vs one I took yesterday of roughly the same view. Our house is the second one to the right of the big tree approximately mid shot. We're about 12km north of the nipaluna/Hobart GPO.
