I took this photograph through my window (Brooklyn, NYC) on February 22, 2026. You can see a very snow-covered tree (it will soon be covered in pink flowers). This photo came out surprisingly well given the conditions and my limited Ubuntu Touch-powered camera on my Google Pixel 3a XL (if I do say so myself). Only mildly touched up with Krita.

The irregular pentagons of a Cairo tiling may be more visible here, changing angles and eventually degenerating to 4-sided figures.

I *really* want to do this in my backyard but I'd have to move them every time our very nice lawn man comes to mow and I don't know what would be weirder to him: leaving them on the lawn or moving them all to gaze at him from the patio while he mows 😂
