Anyone getting back into "#analog"* have any tips? I've been looking at #FiiO for portable players, but they're expensive. But large systems are way pricier.

*quotes cos #CDs aren't analog.

I'm trying to make an effort to divorce myself from #streaming so much. I started listening to my #CD collection at home, even purchasing a couple. Two years ago, I purchased a #TapePlayer & a old #TapeDeck last year. Now I'm looking at a #CDPlayer since I've been using my Blu-ray player.

I pulled this guy out today and decided to see how it was faring nearly 29 years after I bought it.

Not only does it still work in general (not surprising), but the 2-second anti-skip -- which hasn't worked in 10-15 years -- is also working fine.

Goddamn thing healed itself.

I'm a small collectioneer and lover of cds and cd player.
There is a thing we did and that was burning vinyl rips on cd rws and playing them via dvd player on amped on hi fi speakers which are great.

and it was better than the usual mp3- or yt streaming.substantionally.
but somewhat earlier i said and noted that production on this album is just flawless and sounds mega powerful on cd and good cables.

I still love physical media and I always buy new CDs at concerts (if they agave them) and in Japan. it is Bluetooth compatible and so my silly little pickle speaker is doing the work until i get new speakers. My ild boom box died so long ago. my CDs have been lonely.
